MATCH PREVIEW: TOUGH CHALLENGE AWAITS NOMADS AT CYNCOED

This Sunday afternoon sees Connah's Quay Nomads face Cardiff Met in the JD Welsh Premier League from the Cyncoed Campus in Cardiff.

The Nomads come into the game top of the JD Welsh Premier League following last weekend's victory over Carmarthen Town, with a big thanks to Cardiff Met, who defeated previous table-toppers, TNS, 4-1 in last weekend's televised Sgorio game.

It was the first time that Cardiff Met had recorded a victory over The New Saints and it was an emphatic one at that, so no doubt that they will be coming in to the game with The Nomads full of confidence, however Andy Morrison's side will also be full of confidence, having never lost to Cardiff Met and also currently sitting at the top of the league.

It was a good week for Morrison and midfielder Callum Morris as the duo were both nominated for Manager and Player of the Month respectively following their performances in September.

Our last visit to Cardiff ended in a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Michael Bakare and Jay Owen on a wet and windy afternoon last February.

Ahead of the fixture, Andy Morrison said; "After their fantastic win last week against TNS, we head to Cardiff knowing that we will be coming up against a team right at the top of their game. I was at the Llandudno game earlier in the season where Met did everything but win the game, so for me, they will be our toughest test to date.

Christian Edwards' side are now an established top six team who have improved year-on-year and will be vying for a European slot come the end of the season.

We ourselves are in a rich vain of form and head souh in confident mood - I've been delighted with the energy from the whole squad this season. I will be reminding the players that if we are to maintain our outstanding record of never losing to Cardiff Met, every player will need to be right at the top of their game."
