Deeside Stadium hosts the second game in four days tonight as we face Cefn Druids in the JD Welsh Premier League.
The game should have originally taken place this past Saturday, but was displaced by our fixture with Coleraine in the Irn Bru Cup. It was a monumental day on Deeside and thanks to our great teams both on and off the pitch, the day went off without a hitch and has seen The Nomads progress to the Quarter Finals of the Scottish Challenge Cup for the first time in our history.
Today's match will be no simple task - despite Druids currently sitting ninth in the league, they have been a constant thorn in our side, inflicting a final day defeat on us last season on their way to Europa League qualification. Huw Griffiths' side come into the game on the back of a victory over Aberystwyth Town and a draw with Caernarfon in their two most recent outings - the match against Aber being their last over 10 days ago, unlike The Nomads who have had just 72 hours to recover from Saturday's impressive victory over Coleraine.
The last time that Druids were here at Deeside was one of the most epic performances in recent memory, and one that we have struggled to find a match for in world football as The Nomads played for over 30 minutes with just nine men, coming back from a goal down to win 2-1 thanks to late goals from Callum Morris and Michael Bakare.
Andy Morrison's side come into the game two points ahead of The New Saints in second place and have the opportunity to go five points clear, albeit for 24 hours, as TNS don't play until Wednesday night against Llandudno.
