This Saturday evening will see the conclusion of phase one of the Dafabet Welsh Premier League as The Nomads make the journey to Maes Tegid to face third-placed Bala Town.
The Nomads go into the game currently sitting in second place, three points ahead of Bala who lost their most recent match against Rhyl, which saw The Nomads able to regain second place having lost it on goal difference to The Lakesiders the week prior.
This will be The Nomads' first visit to Maes Tegid since the newly laid 3G surface has been implemented, but The Nomads will go into the game full of confidence having lost only three league games since our previous encounter in early September which ended 1-1. Bala themselves were on a fantastic run of form until their 2-0 defeat at the hands of Rhyl in their final game of 2016.
The Nomads will go into the game with new signings Kai Edwards and Ryan Wignall both available for selection and ahead of the game, Andy Morrison said "We head to Bala after a two week break and what a game to start 2017. Bala have been the standout part-time team for the last couple of seasons and have established themselves as the main Welsh Premier League team behind TNS.
Colin Caton and Steve Fisher have assembled a squad that is the benchmark for the rest of the clubs to try and match - their strength in depth has been built over many seasons. It will take time for us to match that quality and depth."
Morrison concluded "We head to Maes Tegid on Saturday in good form and we are pleased to have both of our new signings in Kai Edwards and Ryan Wignall available for selection."
