Connah's Quay Nomads can today confirm that Matty Williams will be leaving the Club to join Llandudno as Assistant Manager.

Matty joins former Nomad, Iwan Williams, who recently took the helm at Llandudno from the departed Alan Morgan, who, incidentally lost his position following a 1-1 draw at Deeside.

Matty originally joined The Nomads ahead of the 2016-17 season and made his debut away at Carmarthen Town on the opening weekend. Williams went on to make 34 starts and nine substitute appearances in all competitions for The Nomads, scoring on 10 ocassions.

Matty will join Llandudno as Assistant Manager immediately and officially as a player in January 2018.

On his move, Nomads Manager, Andy Morrison said "This is a great opportunity for Matty - we spoke a couple of weeks ago regarding the offer from Llandudno and after speaking to Iwan, it would be impossible for me to stand in his way."

Morrison went on to praise Matty, saying; "Matty's standards and professionalism are second-to-none - he has been a great role model and a pleasure to work with. I have no doubt he will have a very successful coaching and managerial career and I wish him all the best."
