First Team Transfer Update

The Nomads can confirm that Ashley Ruane and Chris Rimmer have left the club to join Cefn Druids and Rhyl respectively, while brothers John and Nick Rushton have both gone out on loan until the end of the season.

Ruane joined The Nomads in June 2015 and made a total of 25 starts along with 29 substitute appearances for the club, scoring 10 goals in total, however the 2016/17 season saw Ruane struggle to establish a place in the first team. Ruane initially joined Druids in August 2016, but was recalled in late November, however rejoined the Ancients on a permanent deal this week.

Defender Rimmer leaves The Nomads having made just 19 starts for the club since joining in July 2015. Rimmer was unfortunately hampered by a dislocated shoulder suffered during The Nomads' 3-2 defeat to Newtown in April 2016 which kept him out for the remainder of the 2015/16 season and much of the current season thus far.

Brothers John and Nick Rushton meanwhile have both gone out on loan for the remainder of the season with Goalkeeper John re-joining Holywell Town on loan where he spent a previous loan spell this season before being recalled to replace the injured John Danby during late November and early December. Nick heads to Latham Park where he spent the 2011/12 season having scored four goals for the first team this season.

On the departures, Andy Morrison said "We have released Chris Rimmer who has signed for Rhyl and Ashley Ruane who has signed for Druids. Nick Rushton has gone out on loan to Newtown and Jon has returned to Holywell to get some regular first team football and we wish them all the very best for the rest of the season."
