Connah's Quay Nomads can today confirm the arrival of striker Melford Simpson at the Club.
Simpson, a six foot six and a half striker, joins The Nomads following a successful trial period with the club which has seen him train with the first team for the past month following a brief appearance in The Nomads' 3-0 pre-season victory over Flint Town United.
Simpson has previously played for Hayes and Yeading, Haywards Heath, Shoreham FC and Aylesbury United.
On his arrival, Andy Morrison said "Melford has signed for the club and will be with us initially until January. There have been times this season where I have felt we ahve looked a bit lightweight in our recent games against Carmarthen and Bala - we lacked the physical identity that my teams have always had and Melford will add that presence, height and strength to our squad and help Mike Wilde with the role of our number nine."
Simpson will wear the number 26 shirt for The Nomads, and on his arrival at Deeside said "I am very much looking forward to playing for Connah's Quay Nomads in the Welsh Premier League and looking forward to the new challenges ahead - I just want to repay the gaffer on the pitch for taking a chance on me."
