Connah's Quay Nomads are delighted to announce that Kai Edwards, Mike Pearson and Jay Owen have all been selected for the FAW Wales C Squad to face the England C team at Jenner Park on March 20.
All three players have been regulars in The Nomads' first team this season, with Edwards making 27 starts, Pearson 22, and Jay Owen 23, whilst Owen has also racked up four goals so far in the campaign, his best goalscoring season in the Welsh Premier League to date.
Owen has been previously capped at U17 level along with an U23 semi-pro cap, while Edwards was capped at U21 level and Pearson also at semi-pro level.
The Wales C side will be managed by former Carmarthen Town manager, Mark 'Jonah' Jones and will face Paul Fairclough's England side. Both sides will be made up of player from outside of the Football League with the Welsh players selected from those who were Welsh eligible and playing within the Welsh pyramid structure.
There will be one training camp before the game which takes place on Tuesday, 20 March with a 7:30pm kick off at Barry Town United' Jenner Park.
The Nomads' Manager, Andy Morrison commended the players on their selection saying; "It's a great opportunity for Kai, Jay and Mike to test/ themselves against players from the English system - I have no doubt that they will give a good account of themselves."
