Following The Nomads' 2-1 victory over TNS in the JD Welsh Cup Quarter Final, a delighted Andy Morrison spoke to Will Catterall.
A fantastic performance
"It was a fantastic performance - everyone to a man stuck to the game plan, we've come up with something very brave tonight to cause them problems and we did - we caused them no end of problems and it was reward really for our endeavour which we haven't got in the last two games against TNS in the league and especially against Bangor, because we've dominated Bangor thoughout the game..."
Never going to die
"My team are never going to roll over and fold, they're never going to die - they went again and it's a fabulous free kick from Baks [Michael Bakare] and then we've gone on and like you say, we've dominated opportunities. John [Danby]'s had to pull off a great save - I think it's Wildey [Michael Wilde] who's actually headed it in the first half but apart from that, they've huffed and puffed and thrown balls into our box, but we've had three cleared off the line again, we've hit the crossbar..."
The players and staff have got to take great credit
"It was an immense performance - the player and staff have got to take great credit for that because we sat down on Monday and we said is it a free one? Kind of, in aw way, against these because their record in the Cup is phenomenal and let's be brave - let's go and have a right go at them and we did that I thought the decisions from my staff were spot on and we implemented that in training last night and today it was a thoroughly deserved result."
