Danby marks 125th start with Five-on-Form place

Date Published: Monday, 26th March, 2018 - 7:25pm

Congratulations to John Danby who has this week been selected for the Sgorio Five-on-Form team.

Danby made his 125th start in all competitions for The Nomads against Bala this past Friday, and marked the occassion with another clean sheet, his 44th of his Nomads career, meaning he has kept a clean sheet in 35% of his game since arriving at Deeside in May 2015.

Danby was in top form again this week, pulling off a fantastic point-blanc save from Chris Venables late in the first half to keep his clean sheet in-tact.

Following the game, Andy Morrison said "He's for me the best goalkeeper in the league - I've said that now for many seasons, he's been pivotal in what we've done and again we've got the best defensive record in the Welsh Premier League and that's in no way, not down to John Danby because he's been fantastic, but that's us as a group, the depth and the detail that we have to go to on our set plays against..."

Congratulations John on being selected in the team for the fourth time this season.

Danby was named alongside Jordan Cotterill, Jay Gibbs, Alex Darlington and Greg Draper and you can see the Sgorio clip below with highlights from all of the players below.
