Morrison pleased with chances created

Date Published: Sunday, 4th November, 2018 - 12:38am

Following The Nomads' emphatic 6-0 victory over Llanelli Town, Andy Morrison spoke to Nik Mesney to give his thoughts on the game.

Creating more chances
"Game on game on game now we're creating more chances than we have done in my time at the club - we've always been a very disciplined, organised, very pragmatic in our approach to games and with exceptional set plays - today I thought you saw set plays that were very good but also the ability to move the ball and create overloads and crossing opportunities and third-man-runs and it's really really pleasing and when we click and we get our rhythm right we look a decent team..."

Credit to Llanelli
"Three points, clean sheet and six goals, you're always pleased with that - if I'm being ruthless it could have been a lot more but let's give them credit for not backing down and sticking to a man and sticking together when they could have folded - their 'keeper was man of the match, he's pulled off probably it must have been 6 to 10 unbelievable saves and kept the scoreline down, but like I say, credit to them, today they've come and their hands have been tied and it's been difficult for them but they've had a go, they've all kept going, the manager was relentless on the touchline..."

We probably got 50%
"When we get our quality right, we will create chances and ultimately if you keep creating chances, law of averages says you've got to start scoring more goals and I think today showed that, and I think we have done over the last couple of games, we've created many many chances and today we were probably 50% - we probably got 50% of what we should have got today but like I say, not taking anything away from the lads or from Llanelli because to a man they were outstanding..."
