JAY OWEN

Jay arrived at Deeside Stadium in May 2016 and prior to his arrival, made 70 appearances for Airbus between 2013 and 2016. Jay originally started his career with Chester where he made seven Football League appearances and represented Wales at Under-17 level.

Jay then moved to Barrow where he made 95 appearances in the Conference and was capped by the Wales Under-23 semi-pros.

Owen made his competitive debut for The Nomads in the Club's first ever UEFA Europa League match against Norwegian side Stabæk Fotball in June 2016. Owen went on to make 31 starts for the Club in the 2016-17 campaign - a number of those starts came as a stand-in central defender, a role he took on with ease as The Nomads remained unbeaten for the first 14 domestic games, with Owen a large part of that success.

Owen was named as the Players' Player and Coaches' Player of the Season at The Nomads' end of season awards for the 2016/17 season.

Owen would go on to make over 130 competitive starts for the club, during his time at Deeside winning the JD Cymru Premier, JD Welsh Cup and Nathaniel MG Cup in the process.

Owen left The Nomads in June 2022 before signing for his hometown club of Caernarfon Town.
