Mike Hayes scored his fourth goal in two games to help The Nomads secure a 3-1 away victory at Yorkshire based Pontefract Collieries.
The Nomads went in at half time 1-0 down through a 32nd minute strike from the Colls' striker Liam Radford. The Nomads had a number of chances in the first half which saw a shot from captain Craig Jones parried and a good turn a shot effort from Simon Everall denied.
It was in the 70th minute that The Nomads got on the scoreline as young midfielder Ryan Edwards called upon his goal of the month abilities to score from distance.
It appeared this was how the game would finish until 'Magic' Mike Hayes scored from close range in the 88th minute, before with pretty much the final kick of the game he struck a sweet strike from just outside the box to secure the victory.
A total of seven Nomads Academy products played in the game with 5 playing the full 90 mins and one getting on the scoresheet in the form of midfielder Ryan Edwards. Nomads Academy Director and First team assistant manager took to Twitter to comment
