Jack effort not enough for Nomads

The Nomads returned from The Marstons Stadium this past weekend still looking for their first points in six consecutive games.

A brace from Lido's Alex Gammond, his first goals in the Welsh Premier League sentenced The Nomads to defeat.

Gary O'Toole had the ball in the net for The Nomads just before the break, but the effort was ruled out for offside.

Five minutes after half-time it was the same story for The Nomads as Mark McGregor was denied by the assistant's flag and Lido took the lead soon after, as Gammond broke thorugh before firing into the far corner.

The lead only last for two minutes as Jack Rowlands volleyed home the equaliser from Mark McGregor's free kick, but Gammond sealed the three points nine minutes from time, netting at the back post from a corner, after The Nomads had failed to make the most of a good period of pressure.

The end of the game saw Gary O'Toole receive a seoncd bookeable offence which will see him miss the game against Port Talbot Town.
