BANGOR City and Connah's Quay fought out a drab stalemate, with little to cheer the smallest crowd of the season at Farrar Road.
In a game of few chances, one of the best arrived in the very first minute when Sion Edwards fired wide from Marc Limbert's cross.
Nomads' keeper Terry McCormick comfortably held a Jamie Reed effort, while Mike Hayes headed over for Quay at the other end.
Chris Sharp sent a looping header over the visitors' bar in the last action of the first-half, while City failed to profit from a succession of corners after the break.
A run by Jamie Petrie was only halted by a last-ditch tackle from Sharp, who was soon carried-off with an ankle injury to allow Craig Garside to make his Blues' debut.
Ashley Stott was wide with a shot from a Chris Roberts pass, while home keeper Paul Smith was alert to Alan Hooley's low drive, turning the ball away for a corner.
Quay player-manager Mark McGregor was more than satisfied with the outcome.
"I was really pleased with the way the lads applied themselves," he said. "I'd have taken a point beforehand, but looking back we could have snatched a win."
