A LATE goal from recent signing Mark Dodds sealed three precious points for Haverfordwest, leaving Gap Connah's Quay to face the long journey home empty-handed.
A Lee Hudgell cross was floated to the far post and Dodds headed firmly past keeper Terry McCormick for the winner.
The points could have gone either way, with County often dominating play without producing a cutting edge, and Mike Hayes having a number of good efforts for the visitors.
It took the Bluebirds 75 minutes to produce a worthwhile shot on goal from Kyle Graves, sparking a final period of pressure that eventually brought its reward.
Hayes had three first-half efforts for the Nomads, while all flew wide, and later drew a good save from Lee Idzi.
Kyle Graves rested McCormick at the other end, sub Tom Billing saw his drive deflected for a corner and Lee Hudgell was just inches short of getting a final touch to Billing's low cross before crashing a shot off the post.
