Two goals from Graham Evans sentenced Nomads to their first defeat of the season to put Aberystwyth into third place.
Third only to Marc Lloyd Williams and Chris Summers in the league's all-time scoring list, Evans scored a superb goal after 16 minutes, sending a volley from 18 yards into the far top corner despite the attentions of defender Gary Pinch.
The Seasiders generally dominated the first half but were unable to add to their lead, with home keeper Chris Maxwell again outstanding and Ben Alston also denying Geoff Kellaway.
Nomads upped their game after the interval with Tommy Mutton just inches away from connecting with a Pinch knockdown before Peter Doran sent his drive just over the bar.
But it was the visitors who scored seven minutes from time when Evans headed-in from an Andy Evans cross.
Quay responded immediately, sub Chris Courtney scoring with a volley, but Brian Coyne's men held out to clinch all three points.
