10 man Nomads end losing run

Despite the 43rd-minute dismissal of Danny Forde, 10-man Connah's Quay ground out a win to end their depressing run of three consecutive defeats.

Defender Andy Alston struck on 67 minutes as Nomads made light of their numerical disadvantage.

Caersws should have done better, but their attacks generally foundered on a well-marshalled Quay defence.

Visiting keeper Chris Maxwell did well to deny Ross Jefferies when he broke through one-on-one, while Mark Davies headed over the bar from a Jamie Haynes right-wing cross.
