After controlling the first-half and taking the lead, gap Connah's Quay were hit by a three-goal salvo from NEWI Cefn Druids inside 10 minutes which snatched the game from their grasp.
After a dour first-half, Nomads were rewarded for their dominance straight from the restart when visiting keeper Carl Edwards gifted a goal. He fumbled a simple ball from Adam Dickinson and Peter Doran gleefully snapped-up the chance.
But, when opposite number Mike Price failed to deal with a free-kick on 63 minutes, Mike Heverin was on hand at the back post to stab the ball into the net for the equaliser.
Three minutes later, Druids went in front with a well-taken 18-yard snap shot from Mark Stewart which sneaked just inside a post.
Celebrations were short-lived, when a corner was headed back across the box for Craig Jones to level with a header past Edwards.
Liam Loughlin went close to restoring the home lead before Stewart grabbed his second of the night from a right-wing cross which proved to be the winner.
Heverin went close to increasing the lead when denied in a one-on-one with Price, with Gary Pinch clearing another effort off the line.
