Christopher at the double

Two early goals from Jack Christopher increased his season's league tally to 12 and brought gap Connah's Quay down to earth with a bump after last weekend's success against Llanelli.

The striker notched the Welsh Premier's fastest goal of the day, latching on to a corner and sending a well-struck half volley past keeper Chris Maxwell inside the first 60 seconds.

If Nomads had showed more composure they could have earned a quick reply, but Bluebirds' keeper Lee Idzi produced a couple of good saves to deny Craig Jones.

And, with 20 minutes on the clock, Christopher struck again, firing home from 10 yards when Maxwell could only parry an effort from Mike Hartley.
