John McAllister's goal 12 minutes from time handed Connah's Quay three vital points in the relegation battle to leave Druids frustrated again.
A low cross from the right was saved by the legs of visiting keeper Chris Mullock and rebounded to the striker, who had only been on the field for three minutes.
Nomads were off to a flyer in the fifth minute when Timmy Edwards handled in the box and Chris Herbert converted the spot kick.
Mike Heverin had already gone close for Druids, who pressed for an equaliser with Edwards close to making amends when he volleyed wide from a Kevin Holsgrove free-kick.
A Stewart White effort for Quay was deflected over the bar by Mullock, while Karl Karl Connolly went close just after half-time with a 20-yarder.
The equaliser came from Geraint Lewis who headed home his seventh goal of the season from a Holsgrove corner.
A fumble by home keeper Paul Pritchard, who was injured earlier, almost presented Druids with the lead, but Chris McGinn failed to capitalise from an Aled Rowlands cross and McAllister's goal made the visitors pay for their missed opportunities, although they almost got a late equaliser when Connolly's shot took a deflection to sub Osian Jones, who was unable to control the ball.
