CAERNARFON felt referee Huw Jones had denied them all three points after a controversial incident five minutes from time.
Home centre-back Chris Williams was dismissed for fouling Lee Jones, apparently in the box, yet the official awarded a free-kick just outside the area and Nomads cleared the danger from Layton Maxwell's set piece.
The Canaries had taken the lead from their first serious attack on the half-hour, with Eifion Jones allowed a free header. Connah's took until the 64th minute to equalise, Tommy Mutton providing the finish from Adam Dickinson's cross to the far post.
Mutton also started a move that ended with Gary O'Toole hitting the bar from 16-yards and it was the visitors who forged ahead. Referee Jones spotted an offence from a Richard Owen corner and Maxwell despatched the spot kick.
Nomads were back on level terms when Dickinson headed in from a Williams header, before the late controversy left the Canaries fuming.
