Nomads' late show downs Airbus

TWO injury-time goals at the Airfield saw Connah's Quay snatch a victory over their local rivals Airbus.

The visitors had been under the cosh after taking a 15th minute lead through full-back Dave Swanick, who converted after a good left sided run by Tommy Mutton.

The Wingmakers battled back and drew level in the 36th minute when Nathan Mapletoft seized on a mix-up in the Nomads' defence.

Ryan Crawford fired Airbus in front mid-way through the second-half when he punished a schoolboy error by keeper Paul Smith and a first home win of the season looked on the cards.

But the dismissal of sub Ryan Maloney proved decisive as 10-man Airbus capitulated with time running out.

Skipper Marc Limbert levelled with a superb drive in the first minute of stoppage time and veteran defender Chris Taylor scored his first goal for Nomads when he returned a weak defensive clearance past keeper Stuart McIntosh.
