NOMADS' fortress record at Cae-y-Castell came to an abrupt end as they were undone by Welshpool's first-half seige.
Released two months ago to join the visitors, Calvin Davies returned to haunt Quay boss Nev Powell, beating the offside trap in the 14th minute to round keeper Paul Smith and send the ball goalwards. A last-ditch clearance from defender Chris Williams denied him, but Pool forged ahead nine minutes later when Brett Jefferies was allowed a free header.
Aden Shannon quickly doubled the lead with a 16-yarder and Davies got his reward on the half-hour with a shot from similar distance.
Nomads were revived and scored straight after the break with sub Phil Molyneaux's first touch from an Adam Dickinson pass. But although Welshpool were reduced to 10 men after 57 minutes, they held on to end Quay's unbeaten home record.
