IN a classic 'game of two halves', honours ended even at Park Avenue.
Connah's Quay needed a win to go top of the table and their first-half performance promised well. Nomads fully deserved their half-time lead after Adam Dickinson, back from a week's trial at Stockport County, beating a defender at the far post to convert Tommy Mutton's cross.
Home keeper Karl Lewis had earlier turned aside Dickinson's powerful drive, while Stuart Cook was robbed at the last minute by Rob King.
Aberystwyth should have levelled when Dave Swanick pushed Gareth Watkins in the box, but Luke Sherbon's penalty was saved by Paul Smith.
The Seasiders controlled matters after the interval but found it difficult to turn their territorial advantage into a goal, while leaving gaps at the back which Quay failed to exploit.
But with 10 minutes left, Matthew Roberts crossed from the right for brother Stuart to convert for his eighth goal of the season.
