AN injury-hit Caernarfon maintained their fine start to the season and inflicted a third consecutive defeat on Connah's Quay.
But they twice had to come from behind and needed a late flurry of goals to see off the Nomads.
Town had early chances from Gavin Allen and Marcus Orlik, but it was the visitors who took the lead against thrun of play when keeper Paul Smith's wind assisted kick found debutante striker Gary Reah who headed in past Paul Pritchard.
The Canaries were level on the half-hour when Smith failed to hold a Gwyn Peters cross and the ball deflected off Quay defender Chris Williams into the net.
But veteran striker Stuart Rain restored the Nomads' advantage when he latched on to another long clearance from Smith to beat a static Town defence.
Both sides had early chances after the break through Allen and Williams, but the game lost its momentum until a late surge from the home side.
Former Wrexham duo Steve Watkin and Lee Jones put the Canaries into the lead for the first time, Watkin heading in a Jimmy McNulty free kick at the near post and Jones stabbing in a six-yarder.
Midfielder Kenny Irons put the icing on the cake in the final moments with a superb 25-yard free-kick into Smith's top corner.
