New boys fail to stop Quins rot

QUINS brought in former Port Talbot duo in keeper Gareth Williams and defender Stephen Healey, but the new boys failed to stop the rot.

Nomads cruised to a third league win to leapfrog the Quins in the lower reaches of the table.

Conall Murtagh started the scoring after 20 minutes with an unstoppable shot from the edge of the box, but Williams made two fine saves.

Rasul Andul nearly grabbed an equaliser on the stroke of half-tome when he broke through only to be denied by Gary Linnard's tackle.

Phil Molyneaux increased the visitors' lead when he cut in from the right to beat Williams and added another in the 77th minute.

In between, veteran Stuart Rain scored his 156th Welsh Premier goal, but Quins grabbed a late consolation from recent acquisition Omar Abdillahi, who scored from the penalty spot.
