RHYL ended Nomads' four-match unbeaten run, despite playing most of the contest with 10 men.
James Brewerton was dismissed after just 18 minutes for violent conduct with his side already a goal to the good.
Ricky Evans' ninth minute free-kick was headed in at the far post by Lee Hunt and, despite the loss of a man, Lillies' boss John Hulse retained two strikers.
Nomads posed plenty of threat with Phil Molyneaux's trademark long-range throws causing problems for the Rhyl defence, one finding Danny Jellicoe who fired over the bar.
But the visitors held firm to climb to third place in the table.
