Nomads continue their climb

CONNAH'S Quay continued their climb from the foot of the table with a 2-1 success against the lowly Canaries.

Nomads had the better of the first-half and deservedly went ahead when Flint striker Phil Molyneux outpaced the Town defence to fire past hesitant keeper Paul Pritchard.

Lee Jones fluffed a great chance to level when he fired over an empty goal and the visitors paid the penalty when Conall Murtagh added a second shortly after the break.

Caernarfon hopes were raised when Lee Jones netted with seven minutes remaining to set-up a nail biting finale, but the Canaries were unable to find a way through to leave Nomads in something of a comfort zone after their poor start to the campaign.
