PORTHMADOG completed back to back wins and a seven point haul from a week's work as they condemned Nomads to a home defeat.
With the wind at their backs in the first half, Connah's Quay looked the more likely winners with Port keeper Richard Harvey forced into an early save from Gary O'Toole.
Tommy Mutton also brought a good save from the stopper while Mutton sent a 30-yarder just wide.
Tables were turned after the break as Port took advantage of the strong wind and Jason Sadler became an increasing threat. It needed a goal-line block by Andrew Russell to deny the former Caernarfon striker, but he broke the deadlock in the 70th minute, latching on to a Mike Foster lob over the Nomads' defence to beat Paul Smith in goal.
Heavy pressure and a succession of corners kept Quay on the back foot and Sadler sealed the points in the 88th minute, beating Smith to a Les Davies' ball over the top to lob into an empty net and settle the visitors' nerves.
