NEWTOWN and Connah's Quay remain close to the danger zone after sharing the spoils in an evenly-contested battle at Latham Park.
Veteran Stuart Rain started in attack for the visitors as Tommy Mutton was delayed by work commitments and soon laid off Phil Molyneux to fire over the bar.
Connal Murtagh also fired over another Rain-Molyneux link-up, before Gary O'Toole's goal bound effort was cleared off the line by the Robins' Mark Allen.
Damien Daniels went close for the hosts with a 20-yarder with O'Toole seeing his 'goal' ruled out for offside.
Craig Williams and Alan Hooley both had efforts scrambled away as Newtown came on strongly in the second-half, but it was Nomads who took the lead just after the hour when Alan Morgan's corner was volleyed in from the edge of the box by former Robin Danny Jellicoe.
But Newtown hit back in the 75th minute as Danny Barton set up Danny Desormeux to level.
