Nomads denied by Aber rearguard

The Nomads left Park Avenue on Tuesday night without the points as two early goals were enough to keep them at bay in the second half.

Aber scored on 12 minutes through Geoff Kellaway and then on the 29th minute, Lee McArdle fouled Chris Venables who converted the resulting penalty to put The Nomads 2-0 down inside the first 30 minutes.

The Nomads responded well in the second half dominating the majority of posession with Aber goalkeeper Mike Lewis pulling off a number of impressive saves to prevent The Nomads, however Lee Healey managed to continue his goalscoring form on the 66th minute.

The remainder of the game saw more impressive work by Lewis deny The Nomads on a number of occassions to see the game end 2-1 to the hosts.
