CAERSWS extended their poor run of recent form with a home defeat to Connah's Quay.
Nomads dominated much of the first-half with Gareth Owen bossing the midfield and the Bluebirds' rearguard unable to contain Tommy Mutton.
The striker tested home keeper Andy Mulliner with a 21st minute shot and was a constant thorn in the Caersws side. The visitors took a deserved lead midway through the half when Danny Jellicoe found himself in acres of space, latched onto a rebound, and rifled in a shot from 10 yards.
With Caersws offering only token efforts, Ricky Evans saw his free kick from 25 yards clear the bar over the Mulliner's head and the keeper was then forced to produce a superb save to deny Andy Griffiths' 20-yarder.
Nomads increased their lead on 37 minutes when Mutton picked the ball up just inside the Caersws half, left two defenders in his wake and hammered his shot beyond Mulliner from 18 yards.
Caersws upped their game after the break, but Quay continued to look more danerous, with Mulliner forced to push Stuart Cooke's volley to safety on 52 minutes.
Graham Evans eventually reduced the deficit on 65 minutes when he pounced on a loose ball in the box following a Ricky Evans' corner, but despite late domination were unable to find a leveller.
Dean Tuft cleared a shot off his own line and Ricky Evans saw his free kick tipped over before Graham Evans forced the ball home from a scramble only for the effort to be disallowed for offside.
