CONNAH'S Quay shrugged off their injury woes to win three valuable points in a 1-0 win at Maesydre.
The veteran striker fired past Welshpool's debutant keeper Mark Hewitt after the home defence had failed to deal with a Tommy Mutton through-ball.
After their fine mid-season run, Tomi Morgan's side had won only one point from their last four league outings and could make little impression on a resolute Nomads' rearguard, despite the introduction of former Newtown and Cwmbran winger Justin Wickham as a second-half substitute.
