Injury woe for Nomads

Much of the football was totally forgettable as both sides struggled to combat a bouncing ball in windy conditions, although most of the limited goalmouth action involved the Nomads, with Tommy Mutton and Stuart Rain both shooting wide. Gareth Phillips with a 16-yarder and Lee John came closest for Talbot in the first-half.

Two goals in three minutes settled the game, with an 82nd minute goal from Richard Ryan, playing his first game since re-signing for Port.

Three minutes later Ryan provided with a left wing cross and Phillips hit the killer goal from eight yards.
