A STIRRING display from 10-man Carmarthen clinched the points on Deeside for Mark Jones's totally revamped side.
Nomads got the perfect start when, after early pressure, Jon Kenworthy set up hitman Tommy Mutton, who chipped Tony Pennock from 20 yards.
The Carmarthen stopper had already denied Nomads' close-season signing Danny Williams and when he could only parry Gareth Owen's free kick, Williams sent the rebound over the bar from six yards.
But the visitors were level six minutes before the interval when hesitation in the home defence allowed Mattie Davies picked up a loose ball and blast into Lee Williams' bottom corner.
Eight minutes into the second-half, another defensive error from Nomads gave Nicky Burke the opportunity to put Town ahead and he hammered a low drive from 20 yards.
Despite losing new signing Richard Kennedy for a second bookable offence eight minutes from time, the visitors held firm and could have gone further ahead when Rhys Griffiths sent a penalty attempt against a post after he was fouled by Chris Williams.
