Glean arrives at Deeside

Connah's Quay Nomads are delighted to announce the signing of ex-Southampton and Tottenham winger, Rio Glean.

London-born Glean is a 19 year-old right winger who joins The Nomads having spent much of his young career in the U18 English Premier League and English Premier League 2 with Tottenham Hotspur and most recently Southampton.

On Glean's arrival, Andy Morrison said; "I'm really pleased and excited - I've seen a lot of footage of him and we've spoke to people that he's worked with and this year at times, we've gone a little bit different in a system with wing-backs and we've maybe not had that [Nathan] Woolfe, [Ryan] Wignall, [Michael] Bakare - and nothing excites me more than a winger, someone that has the ability to face the full back up and want to take them on."
