Connah's Quay Nomads are delighted to announce the signing of 26-year-old winger, Joe Faux.
The Australian-born winger has featured in the JD Cymru Premier since he joined Cefn Druids in the 2019/20 season and has recently been a prominent figure in the Caernarfon Town side, playing alongside fellow new Nomad, Noah Edwards.
Having played for his local team, Sydney Olympic in Australia, Faux started out his career in Britain at Bolton Wanderers U23 before playing for West Didsbury and Prescot Cables in the North West Counties leagues in England before heading over the border to Wales.
Faux was a key player for the Cofi's towards the tail end of last season as he scored the all-important goal in the relegation decider between Caernarfon and Flint - his late second half strike turned the fixture on it's head having trailed before his introduction - a goal which ultimately kept Caernarfon's JD Cymru Premier status.

On joining The Nomads, Faux commented; "I'm really excited to be signing for Connah's Quay - obviously they've been a top side in the league for many years now, so I think this will be a great opportunity for me.
I'm really looking forward to the upcoming season and the club’s European campaign, which is something I've always wanted to be a part of."
On Faux's arrival, Neil Gibson added; "I'm really pleased to get Joe into the football club - there was a lot of attention for Joe from number of leading Cymru Premier clubs and he's someone I've watched closely and watched his development in the last 3-4 years and he's always done really well against my teams. He was someone that was on our target list to bring in - he's a wide player who is direct and scored seven goals last season and is a threat in the final third, offering a different dynamic to what we currently have in the group and he fits the bill of the characteristics of the type of player we are looking for as he is hungry to improve, coachable, athletic, quick and very comfortable on a 3G pitch as we head to our new home next season."
A warm welcome to the club from everyone involved Joe!
