Guilsfield friendly confirmed

Connah's Quay Nomads can today confirm that our Men's First Team will host Guilsfield at the Essity Stadium on Tuesday 20th June.

The fixture will mark our first pre-season friendly of the campaign as we take on the side who finished fourth in the JD Cymru North last season.

The match will take place at the Essity Stadium with a 7:45pm kick off and is open to general admission for all spectators.

The two sides last met in the 2019 Nathaniel MG Cup, a game that went to penalties at Clos Mytton after the game finished 1-1 after 90 minutes.

Over the years, the two sides have met nine times with The Nomads picking up six victories, a penalty shoot out win and another draw, losing just the once back in November 2011.

The match will give Neil Gibson an opportunity to utilise his squad, seeing some of his new signings in a Nomads shirt for the first time whilst also allowing players to gain match fitness ahead of the European fixtures, the draw for which will have happened earlier in the day next Monday.
