European opposition confirmed

Connah's Quay Nomads will face KA Akureyri of Iceland in the First Qualifying Round of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

The fixtures will take place on Thursday 13th and Thursday 20th July with the away tie coming first and our home tie being played at Park Hall Stadium, Oswestry.

Icelandic side, KA play their home games at the 2000 capacity Greifavöllurinn stadium in Akureyri in the north of Iceland however will play their European home games at the Fram Stadium in Reyjkavik, and qualified for the Europa Conference League by finishing second in the Icelandic Besta Deidlin league, just behind eventual Champions Breiðablik.

This is KA's first season in Europe since a display in the 2003 Intertoto Cup in which they lost out to Bosnian side Sloboda Tuzla on penalties.

KA are currently in-season and sit fifth in the Icelandic league at the time of writing.
