Previous visits to Maes Tegid

Ahead of Friday night's visit to Maes Tegid, we take a look back at some of the previous fixtures that have taken place between the two teams at the lakeside.

The two sides have met at Maes Tegid 22 times since the first fixture between the two in April 2010, a match which ended 2-2 - a game which saw a Nomads side featuring Mark McGregor, Terry McCormick, Jamie Petrie and Craig Jones with Sam McNutt and Mike Hayes getting The Nomads' goals on the day.

It was Hayes that was on fire some three years later when The Nomads picked up a memorable 6-3 victory as he bagged four goals on the day whilst a young Ryan Edwards would also pop up with a goal of the season contender.

Following this victory however, The Nomads would go on to lost five of the following six games, picking up just the one victory in January 2015 as Ashley Morris would send a Rob Jones corner into his own net in a match which saw Danny Harrison make his debut for the club.

It would be another five games at Maes Tegid for The Nomads before we would next pick up a victory, finding outselves on the end of two defeats in 2015 and 2016 before picking up three consecutive draws in 2017.

2018 would see the start of a somewhat improved run of form at the Lakeside as we would be victorious six times out of the following ten games, drawing two and only losing two - a run of games which saw us score no fewer than 19 goals at Maes Tegid including a 4-1 victory in April 2019 as Nathan Woolfe would bag a hat-trick along with a 4-0 victory in November 2021 as Callum Morris would score a brace after Craig Curran had opened the scoring, only for Ryan Harrington to steal the show with a thunderbolt first goal for the club in the second half.

Our last visit to Bala came in March earlier this year when goals from Harry Franklin and George Horan would give The Nomads all three points as we edged ever closer to securing Europa Conference League football.

Friday's match kicks off at 7:45pm from Maes Tegid.
