Adran Trophy knockout tie confirmed

After The Nomads Women defeated NFA 3-0 to achieve maximum points in their Genero Adran Trophy group, manager Jordan Parry said he has always wanted to face reigning top-flight champions Cardiff City.

On Sunday, 10 November, his wish will become reality. The Nomads have been drawn to face Cardiff in the last 16 of the competition, which will arguably be the toughest test we have ever faced.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of the memorable occasion next month.

Venue
The Nomads have been drawn to face Cardiff on home turf, meaning the tie will be played at The Poppies 3G.

Jordan Parry’s side have won all four matches played at the ground so far this season, conceding just two goals during that time. Our unbeaten record at home stretches back to January this year, but Parry and his team will know they will need one of their strongest performances in recent memory to overcome the Genero Adran Premier champions.

Previous Adran Trophy knockout ties
The Nomads’ only previous success in the Genero Adran Trophy last 16 came in the 2022/23 season where goals from Tamara Hamer, Kylie Jones and Kirstie Kural helped secure a 3-2 victory over top-flight Barry Town United.

The Nomads were beaten 5-0 by Aberystwyth Town at this stage of the competition last season, so will be hoping for an improved performance this time around as we aim to repeat our heroics from two years ago.

Tickets
We will shortly start selling online tickets for our match at The Poppies 3G. The prices are as follows:
Adults - £5
U16 - £3

However, we will accept cash payments as an alternative, which can be paid on the gate at The Poppies 3G.

There will also be hot drinks and refreshments available inside our clubhouse for all fans.
