Fourth Welsh Cup Final in seven confirmed for Nomads

Saturday afternoon saw The Nomads pick up a 2-1 win in the JD Welsh Cup Semi-Final over Llanelli, confirming our place in the JD Welsh Cup Final.

The victory makes it our fourth appearance in the last seven available Cup Finals, dating back to our first Cup victory in 2018 over Aberystwyth Town.

The 4-1 win in 2018 marked our first appearance in the Welsh Cup Final since our 1998 defeat to Bangor City, but since 2018, we have now appeared in the 2019 and 2024 finals whilst this past weekend confirming our place in the 2025 final.

Following our victory over Aberystwyth Town in 2018, we would lost out to The New Saints in 2019, before Covid cancelled the 2020 and 2021 iterations of the competition. Our next appearance would come in 2024 where we ran out 2-1 victors at Rodney Parade in front of over 1200 spectators on a memorable afternoon in South Wales.

The 2025 Final will also be held at Rodney Parade in Newport, this time taking place on Sunday 4th May with a 4pm kick off. Tickets for the fixture will be available through the FAW Ticketing platform and we will share further details once ese are available for general sale.
