The Nomads announce four signings

The Nomads are pleased to announce four signings in the first week of the January Transfer Window.

Michael Burns, Russell Courtney, Lee Healey and Michael Jukes all sign for The Nomads following successful negotations to bring the quartet to Deeside Stadium.

Russell Courntey and Mike Jukes both have experience in Welsh football with Jukes recently playing for both Bangor City and Conwy Borough, having started his carrer at Wigan Athletic.  Russell Courtney meanwhile, a player The Nomads have tracked for a long period, helped Rhyl pick up the Cymru Alliance trophy before leaving to join Nantwich Town in the summer.

Striker Lee Healey joins the club after spells with Ashville, Congleton Town and Droylesden, while midfielder Michael Burns joins The Nomads from Guisely of the Conference North.  Burns started his career at Liverpool where he won the FA Youth Cup on two occassions, later joining Bolton Wanderers making regular appearance for the reserves.  In January 2009 he joined Carlisle United, making his debut in a League One clash with Walsall.  Since then he has played for Stafford Rangers, Newport County and Vauxhall Motors.

Director of Football Mark McGregor said "We welcome four top class additions to the squad.  The two Michael's bring football league experience and Lee has played at Conference lelvel.  Russ was the best defender we met in our Championship season and we have long chased his signature.".

The Club are still awaiting international clearance on Russell Courtney and Lee Healey, however, Michael Burns and Michael Jukes are both eligible for Saturday's clash with Aberystwyth Town.

The Nomads are also in the process of lining up two further signings, so stay tuned as further information will follow in the coming days.
