Bratley commits to new campaign

Connah's Quay Nomads are pleased to confirm that 29-year-old midfielder, Callum Bratley has re-signed with the club.

Bratley initially joined The Nomads in July 2022 and has since gone on to make 48 starts and 11 substitute appearances securing European football twice and being part of the JD Welsh Cup winning team of 2024.

Last season saw Bratley find the net 14 times from 18 competitive starts and is currently recovering from a double metatarsal break, suffered in our Second Leg UEFA Conference League fixture against NK Bravo.

On re-signing for the club, Bratley commented; "I'm made up to sign for another year at Connah's Quay. Last year was fantastic securing European football again and lifting the Welsh cup. The lads are the best group of players I've been involved with both on and off the pitch which was a huge reason for re-signing.

In the short term I'm focussing on getting back to full fitness with Paloma and Kyle after picking up a fracture during the European tie but can't wait to get back to full training and then matches with the lads.

Of course it's been a transitional period for the squad and the management team but we have retained a very strong core group of players and the new signings have settled into the group really well adding a mixture of youth and significant experience in Mazza's [Chris Marriot's] case.

I'm confident in the group we have and believe under Billy's new management we can have another successful season and be in the mix for a European spot come the end of the season."

Everyone at the club looks forward to seeing Callum back on the pitch following his recovery from injury.
