Nomads to face Trefelin in Welsh Cup Third Round

Wednesday night saw the FAW host the FAW Cup Draw Show on RedWallPlus.

The draw for the Third Round of the JD Welsh Cup saw The Nomads drawn away at JD Cymru South side Trefelin BGC - a side whom we faced back in September 2021 in the Second Round of the same competition. The game was comfortably won 4-0 by The Nomads thanks to goals from Declan Poole, Paolo Mendes and a brace from Jamie Insall in what would turn out to be Andy Morrison's final game in charge at the club.

Trefelin currently sit fourth in the JD Cymru South having won five, drawn three and lost two of their opening 10 games in the southern second tier. The side from Ynys Park confirmed their place in the Third Round by picking up an impressive 5-0 win over Newport Corinthians this past weekend.

Our fixture against Trefelin will take place on the weekend of 15-16 November.
