Simpson, a six foot six and a half striker, joined The Nomads following a successful trial period with the club which has seen him train with the first team for the past month following a brief appearance in The Nomads' 3-0 pre-season victory over Flint Town United.
Melford was released from his Nomads contract in January 2018 having scored two goals in two starts and five substitute appearances.
