Maher joins Nomads

Connah's Quay Nomads are delighted to confirm the signing of 28 year old midfielder, Ben Maher.

Maher started his career at Tranmere Rovers U18 and forged a strong relationship with Nomads Manager Neil Gibson during his time at the Wirral-based club, going on to play for Gibson at Prestatyn own and Flint Town United with spells at Rhyl, Cefn Druids and most recently Caernarfon Town in between.

Maher featured for The Nomads in our opening pre-season fixture against his former side Caernarfon Town last weekend and made 26 appearances for the Cofi's last season as they joined The Nomads in UEFA Conference League qualification.

On signing for The Nomads, Ben commented; "I'm over the moon to have signed for Connahs Quay - it's a club that has had a lot of success recently and being able to sign for a club like Connah's Quay is something I couldn't turn down.

There is no doubt that the gaffer is one of the best managers around and having played under Gibbo for most of my senior career I know what his expectations and demands are. It's no coincidence that I've played my best football under Gibbo and am really looking forward to have the chance to work him again."
