Academy Trio sign First Team deals

Connah's Quay Nomads are delighted to confirm that the Academy Trio of Tyler Berry, Lucas Gregson and Noah Sumner have all signed their first professional contracts with the club.

All three have been on the fringes of the First Team squad over recent months with Noah Sumner having made his debut as a second half substitute last season away at Pontypridd Town and Lucas having been named on the bench a number of times before recently going on to join Colwyn Bay on loan for the season under the tutelage of ex-Nomads Michael Wilde and Danny Harrison. Lucas recently made his senior debut as a second half substitute against Llandudno in the JD Cymru North for the Bay.

Tyler has recently burst onto the scene at First Team level having played and scored in a pre-season friendly against Caernarfon Town before scoring on his competitive debut against Buckley Town in the recent Nathaniel MG Cup fixture and made his full debut this past weekend as he started against Flint.

Academy Director Jay Catton commented; "It's a great achievement for Tyler, Lucas and Noah in gaining First Team contracts for the players, families and the football club.

All three have done superbly well over the last twelve months on our full time Scholarship programme which saw last year's Scholars win the Welsh Schools National Title and North Wales Reserves Leagues.

All three have made senior debuts already and we as a club are excited to see them now push on and progress in senior football careers with the football club."
