Flintshire Foodbank Collections this weekend

This weekend will see Connah's Quay Nomads, Flint Town United and Flint Mouintain all join forces off it in aid of Flintshire Foodbank.

All three sides will play home fixtures at the Essity Stadium this weekend starting with Flint Mountain as they face Buckley Town in the JD Cymru North - following that, Flint Town United will face Barry Town United on Saturday afternoon before The Nomads host Briton Ferry Llansawel on Sunday afternoon.

Ahead of kick off at all three fixtures, there will be donation points just outside the turnstiles allowing spectators from both clubs to donate food to those less fortunate this festive period before entering the Essity Stadium.

Flintshire Foodbank provide vital support for the local community with over 12,355 people receiving a food parcel from the local charity in 2023, with over 5000 of those being children.

The sort of things that are suggested as donations from the foodbank include; UHT Milk, coffee, tinned meat/fish, long-life juice, tinned meals (curries, chili etc), pasta sauce, tinned fruit, tinned vegetables, soup, sponge/rice puddings, cereal, pasta, rice and toiletries such as soap, toothpaste and shower gel.

Any small donation you can make could make a huge difference to a member of your local community.
